The first Melbourne AISA chapter meeting of the year will be on the 14th of February at 8am till 9.30am at Karstens Conference Center at Level 11, 123 Queen Street (next to CQ Bar). Microsoft will be presenting and sponsoring.

Microsoft & Security - What the!?

Over the years Microsoft has provided some challenges for IT security professionals. Of late Microsoft has been hard at work developing industry leading software and processes to address the IT security threats of today and tomorrow. Is your knowledge of what Microsoft is doing up to date or do you still base your understanding on Windows NT?

This session will outline the security strategies and practices put in place at Microsoft and discuss the security enhancements built into its products.

Jamie Sharp is a Security Architect with Microsoft. He has over 10 years of IT Security experience and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He advises clients on best practice strategies for mitigating complex security issues and regularly presents at Microsoft and industry events.

His technical security competencies include: network and host security, communication protocols, network design, information security policy and process, threat and risk assessment and enterprise security architecture.

Please bring your AISA Membership Cards with you as we will use them as our Name Tags for this meeting. New members can collect their Membership Cards at the start of the meeting.
