AISA meeting - Melb Oct 9 - Security Architecture

AISA (Australian Information Security Association) has the pleasure of announcing the participants in it’s security architecture panel to be held on the 9th of October at Karstens at 123 Queen St Melbourne.

Please check the plasma screen on the ground floor for the room and floor we will be in on the day. We anticipate to be on level 8.

Networking will commence at 8am with a light breakfast courtesy of our sponsor Qualys. The panel will start at 8.30am.

Jason Wood - Head of Architecture for Technology Risk & Security at National Australia Bank

Jason is responsible for the delivery of security consulting, architecture, design and assurance services. Immediately prior to this role, Jason was the Enterprise Security Architect at ANZ and previously has consulted widely in the risk and security field, predominantly to financial organisations and government.

Rick Harvey - Distinguished Engineer and Senior Vice President at Computer Associates.

Rick co-manages CA’s Melbourne International R&D Lab and is the chief architect of several CA security products. He is a member of CA’s Council for Technical Excellence and a founding member of CA’s Society of Inventors having filed over 30 patents in security, database and web-services technologies. Prior to coming to CA via acquisition in 1999, Rick held R&D executive positions at Platinum Technologies, OpenDirectory and Datacraft. Rick holds an Honours degree in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering and is a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society. He is sought after presenter, lecturer and advisor and the recipient of several industry awards including the year 2000 Victorian Pearcey Award for contributions to Australian R&D.

Jean-Marie Abi-Ghanem - Account Director Deloitte Security and Privacy Services

Jean-Marie is responsible for the coordination and delivery of information security solutions to national and international clients. Over the past 12 years, Jean-Marie has provided consulting services involving security architecture and strategy, ethical hacking and Identity and Access Management solutions. Additionally, Jean-Marie is the current President of the Melbourne Chapter of the Open Web application Security Project (OWASP).
