Hobart, Tasmania. August 9th - 13th, 2010  Join us for 3 days of training followed by 2 days of technical and information sessions.

* Dedicated Microsoft and Solaris training streams.

* A new “Foundations of system Administration” stream, designed especially for those who are new to System Administration.

This stream includes a mix of technical and non-technical sessions designed to provide new SysAdmins a solid grounding in key skills and knowledge needed to be effective System Administrators.

Keynote address:  Tom Limoncelli International author of The Practice of “System and Network Administration”, and the O’Reilly book Time Management for System Administrators.

Google Technology User Group Campout Melbourne

GTUG Campout is an annual weekend-long event where Google Technology User Group members have an opportunity to design, develop and demo a complete application over the course of two days.

This year the theme will be HTML5 and will be a world-wide event, with over 19 GTUG events planned from Silicon Valley to Tokyo.

The Melbourne event kicks off on Saturday, August 14th @ 10:30am with registration followed by a technical talk, after which ideas and teams will come together.

AGENDA: Presentation and Q&A session on Subversion (SVN on LINUX and
TortoiseSVN on Windows), documentation and source code version control
software - conducted by Bob Fulton (SAGE-AU).

WHO: SAGE-AU Members, prospective members, and other people involved
with system administration.

MENU: A carefully selected range of traditional SysAdmin fare (ie.
pizza) is provided free of charge to attendees. Members with special
dietary requirements should contact the executive prior to the meeting.

DIRECTIONS:
To get to the venue by public transport, catch a University, No 8
(Moreland) or No 1 (East Coburg) tram up Swanston St or the number 19
tram (North Coburg) up Elizabeth St. The tutorial room is at the south
end of the ground floor of the Baillieu Library.
