At this MSPUG September meet up hear a presentation from Roger Nobel from LobsterPot Solutions on ‘Jumpstart your folksonomy with text mining’ who will share why SharePoint 2010 is great at storing documents but organising and tagging them can be a big job.

There will then be an open discussion on ‘Scaling ECM Challenges’ which wil revolve around the challenges in scaling an ECM solution where you can bring along any issues you’d like to discuss.

Software Assurance Maturity Model - OWASP

At this OWASP workshop, Pravir Chandra will discuss the Software Assurance Maturity Model (SAMM) framework. SAMM is an open and free project and has recently been added under the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP). In this session, Pravir will walk through useful activities such as assessing an assurance program, mapping an existing organisation to a recommended road map and building an assurance program. Time allowing and additional case studies will also be discussed.

Ignite’s catch phase is “enlighten us, but make it quick“. One of the previous speakers described it as “speed dating for ideas”. Talks are focused on entrepreneurship and technology.

Ignite is a global event, organised by volunteers. Participants are given five minutes to speak about their ideas and personal or professional passions with 20 slides. Each slide is displayed for 15 seconds and slides are automatically advanced.
