On Thursday, May 15, we have a huge double-header for you: a joint event by the Melbourne Web Standards Group and Web Directions South. Richard Ishida, internationalization lead for the W3C, and Jose Manuel Alonso, the eGovernment lead for the W3C, are both in Australia and have kindly agreed to speak for us.
Emerging paradigms such as ubiquitous and pervasive computing promise to change the way people think about and use computers. With these paradigms comes a wave of novel application build on, e.g., context-awareness and adaptive interfaces. A great challenge for HCI researchers and practitioners is to evaluate the user experience of such applications to ensure that they are and will be both useful and usable.
OzFlex is an Adobe User Group based in Melbourne, Australia. Our focus is on Flex RIA Development & related technologies such as AIR & BlazeDS. Our aim is to bring together like-minded individuals who have an interest in Flex Development. This covers everyone from novices who have only just heard about Flex, all the way through to professionals who develop with Flex for a living! After searching long and hard for a suitable venue for OzFlex finally the wait is OVER! I am happy to announce that OzFlex will be having its first meeting on Monday 12th of May at Loop Bar. Loop bar will be OzFlex’s permenant home and the meeting will be held on the second Monday of each month from now on.
This months Melbourne PHP User Group meeting will consist of talks on CodeSniffer and MySQL Stored Procedures.
